Threaded Studs & Wear Studs

At WearPro, we supply and fix threaded studs and wear studs to complement our wear products range. Threaded studs are welded to the back of the plate, creating strong anchor points for fitment to equipment. Wear studs can be applied to many wear surfaces to further increase wear-life.

The Process

We attach the studs using a specialised drawn-arc welding process. The tip of the stud and the surface of the plate are briefly melted, then the stud is pressed into the molten pool to form a solid, full-strength bond. Each weld takes only a second, but the result is extremely strong, reliable and vibration-resistant – ideal for hard-working equipment where failure isn’t an option.

What They’re Used For

  • Extending the service life of crusher parts and liners
  • Adding removable wear points so only the stud or surface layer needs replacing
  • Making shutdown maintenance faster and more efficient
  • Reducing the overall cost of wear protection over the life of the machine

Industries That Benefit

  • Mining & Quarrying – crushers, chutes, hoppers, mobile plant
  • Minerals Processing & Screening – impact areas and transfer points
  • Manufacturing & Fabrication – high-wear material handling systems
  • Recycling & Scrap Metal – shredder housings and protection plates
  • Cement & Aggregates – bulk material liners and cyclone plates
